Awesome to see it in bloom!
I've been growing one from seedling size for about two - three years now.
    How old is yours?

I received this plant three years ago, when it had first bloom. Since then, found Ascocentrum garayi as a relatively slow growing (at least in my conditions). Perhaps, because tried to grow it bear root in a terracotta pot. Shortly after added media, it responds with this spike.

    Cool, thanks!
Mine seems rather slow growing as well, it is in a small wood basket with primeagra and a few chunks of medium sized bark.
From what I could see yours has 12 leaves, I think mine has around 7 or so.
