    Wow, that's freaky cool.

    So here's a dumb question. Once the flower fades, the vegetative growth just hangs out for the rest of the season, before going dormant for the winter? As the plant matures, can it become a multiple-growth (and bloom) clump? I'm assuming this grows from a tuber, sorta like an amorphophallus.

    Yes.

    Most species do. Some, like A. sikokianum, do not. :bang:
