A while ago, when I was first learning about Siberian Huskies, Angela said "wait till he "blows his coat"" I then read in a book that a Husky can "blow his coat" up to 4 times a year. I recently learned the true meaning of "blow his coat" Every other day for 2 weeks we brushed prowler and filled shopping bags, and buckets. We would first let the hair go for the birds, till they didn't want it anymore, and I was picking fur out of all the landscaping. The local birds had nests that could've been on episodes of Cribs. It was UNREAL. I never thought it would be this bad. The good part is he is an amazing dog.
These pics are just from 1 brushing

Make things, Dew! Pillows, comforters, rugs...

now's the time to buy a sewing machine or loom. Can you imagine how much
fur I had with seven Huskies and daily lineups for brushing/combing? How about a spinning wheel? There oughta be some use for all that coat!

Our four dogs are "blowing" too. All the birds are getting very picky about
color now that there's so much to choose from. Prowler has
matured into a lovely mother's boy.

Dew, I've discovered a marvelous tool called a Mars Coat King that's a mighty tool
for getting out all that old undercoat.

I see piles of this stuff in the park from people with these kinds of dogs. I'll stick to vacuming Lab hair.
