I used to love growing my plants in osmunda fiber, but it became impossible to find. I recently purchased an orchid from an out-of-state vendor, and it was growing in the most beautiful osmunda. I did a little research, and found that the cinnamon fern (Osmunda cinnamomea) can be grown in acidic boggy areas. So I'm going to try growing a few plants in a bog container inside my shadehouse. It might be too hot here for it to truly thrive, and I may have to grow it as an annual (or stick it in the fridge since our winters are so warm) but hey, I love an experiment.

Does anybody have experience growing osmunda?
