    I had thought that it was from having a large flower. That's what happens when I only look at the pictures in the books and don't bother to read the text.

    For the small price of a few select Angraecoid divisions, I would be more than happy to give you my interpretations, recollections, and paraphrasing...nay, even direct quotes!...from any Ang related reference you can name. :D

    You know, mrbreeze, I was just thinking that if I could have that dinner with Fred Hillerman now, I would probably find it way more interesting and be able to overlook his condescending and sexist attitude much more easily than 25 years ago. ;)

    I did look up who described it and it was Schlechter. I also found a reference to the spur being straight, so that would blow my pachyderm trunk idea.

    I checked on that possible source I mentioned, but he doesn't work with the public at this point.

    She has stopped selling to concentrate on writing. She was a good source of interesting plants.
