Talin is now 9yrs old .... he is turning into a grumpy old man too (possibly influenced heavily by the arrival of Mort a few months back) but he is still my gorgeous boy....

a couple of head shots showing off his wonky eyes

catching a snooze and a big stretch on Morty's doona (obviously Morty was outside at this time otherwise Tal wouldn't be there)

What breed is this cat? I've never seen one quite like him before. He's really quite
    elegant and beautiful.

Offically he is an Ebony Oriental Shorthair out of the Sinjin Cattery down here - the pads of his feet are black like his fur

(his mum and dad were both Australasian Grand Champions as is one of his brothers - Tal was the first born but due to his wonky eyes he wasn't suitable for show or breeding - so he came home with me!)

That is one crazy looking cat. :D

    He's quite beautiful.

Does he tear up on the dog at all?

Not with any real results MJ - I think he is really under socialised as he's been a single cat in a household (never been an outdoor cat) and has met maybe 2 other dogs in his 9yrs (and aside from his litter mates, he hasn't met a cat either) .... he hisses and hits out at Mort every now and again but not with any real positive outcome for him - maybe Mort is too dumb to notice? and Mort really seems to like Talin (but Tal wishes Mort didn't exist) ... so the affection is definitely one sided.....

Maybe they'll end up best of friends!!
Puppies have a way of making you love them, even when you don't want to.

Talin is so cool! I love that cat! Makes me want another but my DH would -- well, I don't know what he would do. Our dog groomer is a cat rescuer and every month I come "this" close to bring home a rescued cat. She has some really cool ones in her shop and I think that's what makes Penny so excited to get there all the time. She adores kitties and I think she really misses our last kitty. We've had a cat (not the same cat) since we were married almost 49 years ago and not having one is really strange. How about a poll. He he he. Should I bring home a rescue kitty?

    HELL YES YOU SHOULD, ANN!

    *ahem*

That would be so much fun for Penny!! And the dh would be okay with it. If he protests, tell him either you get a cat or you get some bongos.

You are too funny and you are a trouble maker! He'd probably prefer the bongos!!!!
