I purchased this as a seedling 2 years ago and it was tagged as Amesiella phillipinensis. I have since become very confused as to the difference between phillipinensis and monticola. Whichever it is I do like it! Amesiella 1.jpg Amesiella 2.jpg
    First bloom, by the way.

Pretty sure it's monticola. Doesn't have the yellow patches on the lip and it has a longer straighter nectary.

Thanks guys! Searching the net for photographs of phillipinensis showed some with the yellow blush on the lip and some without. The nectary is just under 4 inches. Don't trust the internet.

Amesiella monticola does well in cool conditions, philippinensis does not.
