I can't believe I finally got a good blooming on this species. I was very surprised as it has eluded my for years.

Lisa, this is the low end of intermediate. I've been growing this for a number of years with just a paltry flower now and again. It has been at 56F night/ 75-80F days for several years, so I'm not sure what has made the difference. I am growing a bit brighter than before, but still moderate light. The biggest change is higher humidity and more constant humidity in the greenhouse since the early fall. It now runs about 85%. I don't know what else it might be.

Marni, I grow the other two species (monticola and minor), and I am doing well with them; is this one more finicky to grow? I would like to try it at some point.

I grow the others cooler, 50F nights. I don't know that this is particularly difficult, but it does need warmer conditions than the others.
