    Rita, it has its disadvantages, too. The blooms can be eaten by insects, and I am loathe to spray, as it disturbs the environment. Plus dust, lichen, and what-not settle on the leaves, making them look "dirty". More natural, but scruffy-looking.

    Once a year. This year's blooming time stretched out to two months already.

    Beautiful flowers. They have become difficult to get here lately. Now we see more monticolas. I wouldn't mind getting a philippinense as well. Is there much difference in growing conditions?
