Feral reproducing flocks of Amazons have made themselves at home all over So. Cal and other places i imagine. This flock roosts in pines and eucalypts near my house and it's numbers vary from 12 to 20, here are a few the other morning SCREAMING a good morning to the world. and a bee on some lavender.

Are Amazons a type of parrot? We have parrots that have colonized here in South Florida, and they do put up quite a ruckus. I love watching them go screeching overhead...

oh indeed Amazons are a type of Large-Loud parrot. I think Amazons are one of the top parrots kept as pets. I am sure they are naturalized from escaped pets in Florida as well.

We've had parrkets by the flocks in Central Florida for more than 20 years.

Budgies won't cut it out here, too many predators.
Amazons being BIG really only have to worry about Red Tailed Hawks & maybe Owls.
These flocks have been here as long as people have kept Amazons as pets.

Could be worse, Brant. It could be a pair of Moluccan cockatoos.

Up in LA we also have flocks of cockatiels and macarws. They're lovely, and fun to watch fly. I'm glad they don't roost at my house....
