O.k. Nelson, put your hands in the air and hand over all your Aerides! No, I don't care
if you have to take them off the fence...hand 'em over! Yer Aerides or yer life, fella!

    Hahaha.

You can also view my post on Aerides odorata var calayana and its alba form.

I DID! Hand those over too. Don't make me have to come down there and rough you
up. That alba's worth the plane ticket.

In a week or two about a dozen albas will be opening their blooms. Watch out for it.
I'm glad you had the eyes fixed. It is something I may be in for in a few years time. The entire brood of my father and his 7 siblings have it (cataracts), and four of them have glaucoma.

I am glad you like Aerides.

Just one eye so far. Right eye is scheduled to be fixed Oct. 20. Will all the albas be
blooming then? I don't want to miss that!

Cataracts are eeeeasy: glaucoma is not or so I've heard. Once cataracts start, it moves
quickly so have your eyes checked yearly and catch it early on. To my surprise, cataracts aren't necessarily age related.

When I left the farm a week ago many of them were about to open. Aerides typically last more than a week, usually close to two.

I'm looking forward to the photos, Nelson. Did I mention that I've gotten rid of most of
my Vandas and putting Aerides in the empty places? I have several Aer. now....and it's
    all your fault.

Vandas are rarely fragrant, unlike Aerides.
