    Found in the Philippines at medium elevations as a small to just medium sized, monopodial, cool to hot growing epiphyte with curved stems carrying many, lorate, leathery, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms with pendant, 16" to 46" [40 to 115 cm] long, densly many flowered inflorescence enveoloped by remote, tubular, ovate sheaths and ovate, acute, reflexed floral bracts carrying fragrant?, waxy, long-lived flowers occuring in the spring.(From Iospe)
    The plants are found in the provinces of Bataan, Cavite, Quezon, the Bicol region, and the island of Samar at elevations around 600 m meters.

    Nelson, I have this and it flowers every year BUT it tends to have 1 - 4 flowers fail to open. They don't dry up or yellow, they just don't open and eventually brown off and fall almost at the same time as the good flowers finish. Have you experienced or seen this before ?
