Pretty sure this is platyphylla x modesta. I have another one that tried to bloom last year. It made about this same number of big fat buds over a solid six months. Then at the last moment...blasted all but one bud.

Lucky enough, this plant got it all figured out. :D

Gorgeous! I love the aerangis with non-reflexed petals. (Of course, I like all the reflexed ones too :) ) Well grown and beautiful. Where did you get it--if you don't mind my asking. (Cal???)

Yep, Cal it was. Kind of hard to manage with such a long spike but I like it anyway.

Oh finally luck is with me! They are coming to Edmonton in September. I've been eying their web site ever since I found out. I'm going on a aerangis spree!

beautiful mrbreeze, did you mean calorchid? cuz they brought a few hybrids back from Loran G. in Africa 2 years ago, just seems more special to me knowing the plant was actually in Africa. Ezil, send them an e-mail ask what they have, they would bring you things they might not other wise bring, great folks by the way!
