A Myrmecophyla tibicinis in the St. Croix botanical garden

    IMG_2062.JPG I was fortunate enough to see this specimen plant when it was at the height of its size. Unfortunately it was not blooming. A few years later it started to die out. There are still other plants of this species elsewhere in the garden. It was growing on a large silk wood tree, Ceiba pentandra
