Hope you'll forgive the attempt at an "artsy" shot. I've been playing around with an effect that lets you color just one portion of the photo. Kinda cheesy, but on the other hand it focuses attention on the bloom. I grow this one I/W, mounted on a 3" chunk of wood, sprayed daily. Easy grower and bloomer. Flowers seem more red than other examples I've seen of this species. -Stephen

Are the flowers really that yellow? I don't think I've seen a clone this color. Good shot of the flowers, though I do miss the green.

For sure these flowers are more reddish and lighter in color than on regular clones.
Stephen, what software and selection tool have you used for photo post-processing? Objects’ separation from background is quite clean.

They are quite yellow under certain lights. Under incandescent, they appear more red/pink. Definitely not a color I've seen before with this species.

I was thinking of the background color. Usually they are red on a translucent or occasionally red on a white background. And I would be interested in how you selected what to grey out.

It's a Mac app called Color Splash Studio. Switches the whole photo to black and white, then you choose which areas to "paint" back into their original color. Easy to use, kinda like finger painting, and you can get down almost to the pixel level when choosing which part of the photo to re-color.
